Jake and Emily first met on their Freshman orientation trip at the University of Tulsa. It was not until a few weeks later, during Greek recruitment week, that the cool kids on campus began to include Emily and get to know her. During their four years in college, Jake and Emily attended some of the same classes, participated in campus activities and attended sorority and fraternity dances together. They were best friends throughout college and kept in constant contact after graduating. After spending a year in San Francisco, Emily relocated to St. Louis, where they began officially dating. Three years later Jake proposed. Jake and Emily took a random Friday off to spend the day together. They planned to pick out pumpkins from the patch Jake went to as a kid and spend a relaxed afternoon at a quaint winery. That evening as Emily came down the stairs to head out to dinner, Jake surprised her and asked her to marry him! Matrimony occurred May 22nd, 2010!
